 RUNI: Automatic EPS Plant EPS Compacting Plant
Wages are expensive!
RUNI has therefore developed a compacting system which drastically reduces the number of operator hours required compared to traditional EPS compactors.
- The pre-crusher has a very high capacity – up to 1100 kg
 EPS/hour (e.g. 1700 fish boxes/hour)
- This minimises the manual handling time.
- The granulated EPS is blown directly from the pre-crusher
into the silo.
- From the silo, through to finished blocks, the process is
automated, so the actual compacting is done unmanned.
- After compacting, the blocks are automatically cut to the
desired length and pushed to the side hydraulically, ready
for palletising

The choice of pre-crusher, compactor and saw models depends on the volume of EPS to be handled and the
degree of automation desired.

 The pre-crusher(A) and compactor(B) are separated and
a buffer / silo is placed between them. |
